For day 47 of analyzing a BTS song every day until their upcoming concert in April, I chose to analyze the song “Love Maze” by BTS. This song is about how in life, love and relationships are unpredictable. Some relationships are shunned by the outside world, some relationships struggle, however one must continue to love freely while knowing that no matter what, the right person will be right there next to them, guiding them on the journey of love.

This message is first presented through BTS setting the stage with the different difficulties of love. Diving deeper, BTS specifically describes this by stating, “All those screaming lies / Could try to split us apart,” expressing the common difficulties that people in relationships face (Verse 1). However, BTS does not leave the song on a sad note, instead they push to say that their love is real, it can weather any storm and push through the maze of love (Verses 1 and 3). With this, BTS shows that even through the chaos and stress, their love will go on. They don’t know the answer to every bump in the road, however they will keep pushing since they can experience these uncertainties together with someone.

All in all, “Love Maze” by BTS is a beautiful song that expresses how one can battle the trials of love when someone is with them, always guiding them and staying by their side through it all. Additionally, in the song, BTS vows to be that person for someone, further expressing their reliability and kindness to their listeners.
