For day 54 of analyzing a BTS song every day until their concert in April, I decided to analyze the song, “Outro : Wings” by BTS. This song is a beautiful outro for an album as it signifies one’s growth and progression as a person.

In the song, BTS describes their experience from when they were younger and just begun on their journey of growth. Using wings as a metaphor, they describe that similarly to baby birds, they started as a young boys dreaming about their future then now, still on their journey but older, they have learnt how to fly (Verses 1 and 2).

They also describe how that although they have made many decisions in their life that others did not agree with, it was their life that they’re living and thus, they have no regrets (Verse 2). This message is an incredible commentary on life as we should all know that as we grow and follow our dreams, we will come across people who won’t understand the path we are on. Thus, we should stay confident in our decisions and fly towards our dreams.
