For day 62 of analyzing a BTS song every day until their concert in April, I decided to analyze the song, “21st Century Girl” by BTS. This song is a fun and motivational song where BTS shares kind words and uplifting lyrics about women.

One of the lyrics that represent the inspirational message of the song can be seen in verse 2 where it is sung, “…Don’t try to fit into their standards / (You’re mine) You’re beautiful just the way you are.” These lyrics are important as in life it’s imperative to not try to conform to what society says and the societal standards of the world. Instead, it is important to remember that each person is beautiful, as being human is beauty in of itself.

All in all, I feel this song is such a necessary song as it is very nice to see male artists sing about women in a kind and respectful way; setting a great example for more men to follow when writing songs about women. It also is a nice message for the female fans of BTS as they are able to see that the people they admire also admire them as well.
