For day 74 of analyzing a BTS song every day, I decided to analyze the song, “Trivia 起 : Just Dance” by J-Hope of BTS. This song describes J-Hope’s desire to connect with someone and finding that through that connection, they can help each other through everything.

Diving deeper, this song expresses that desire of connection with someone as a desire to dance with them. As someone longs to dance with someone, they grow to want a special connection with them. J-Hope describes that in his lyrics by stating, “My dreams that once had no answer / Now becomes something we can relate to / Because our rhythm is matching,” (Verse 2). This line expresses that through the connection J-Hope now has with this person, the things that he worries about and fears sting a little less now that he knows someone who is experiencing the same thing and can relate to him. Again, with dancing, a person becomes connected to someone through their touch as well as through the music and rhythm of their movements. Similarly, in life, as one speaks with someone more and more, they form a bond and soon a special connection that shows that they are not alone in the world, someone else there understands them as well.

I feel that J-Hope expresses this connection well within his song, “Trivia 起 : Just Dance,” as he beautifully describes how a desire for someone and their special connection creates something beautiful and even helps someone to heal by knowing they are not alone.
