For day 77 of analyzing a BTS song every day until their concert in April, I decided to analyze the song, “Go Go” by BTS. This song expresses the idea of spending on the things one likes and not over saving for some lofty date in the future. I think this song is a fun but honest song that describes how in life we save and save and wait for the perfect time to do something however sometimes the best time to do that one thing is right now.
BTS addresses this motif throughout their song with countless inspiring lyrics. One of these lines which describe that message of just going forth towards what you want and not continuously waiting is the line, “At least for today, skip the worries and just go / If you get scared and say you’re saving, it’ll all turn to crap” (Verse 2). These lines express the sentiment that saving for a lofty date in the future out of fear will usually result in a person never going after the thing they are saving up for. It is important in life to understand that there is a right time to do things, and sometimes one has to just take the first step towards what they want even if it is scary.
