After using hashtag campaign #helpmadisonmeetpotus for over a year, my dream to photograph the President of the United States came true on June 14, 2016 when I was invited to attend the United State of Women (“USOW”) summit hosted by Michele Obama and Oprah Winfrey in Washington, DC. On the last day of school, a representative of USOW sent me a private message on Twitter. They mentioned that they saw my hashtag campaign and invited me to attend the first ever summit. I was approved for media credentials from USOW and attended alongside 200 other media personnel.
